I had a fantastic stay and would love to stay here again. I booked a luxurious and bright room with a view of the sea. - the hotel had a central location in an establishment purporting to be 5. - It was also a short walk to the services, the center of the Island, and all the distilleries and sights to see. - I really enjoyed spending time in the superb downstairs bar.

My recent stay at Islay House was absolutely delightful. From the moment I arrived, I was greeted with warm and friendly hospitality. The setting of the hotel is simply stunning, with beautiful greenery and a sense of tranquility. The historic building exudes charm and character, making me feel like I had stepped into a beloved novel. The rooms were well-appointed and comfortable, providing a perfect retreat after a long day of exploring. The meals at Islay House were truly exceptional, with a menu that offered a modern twist on classic dishes using fresh and local ingredients. I particularly enjoyed the superb selection of whiskeys in the Peatcutters bar, expertly guided by the knowledgeable bar manager. The service throughout my stay was impeccable, with Jennifer and Robert going above and beyond to ensure that every aspect of my trip went smoothly. I can't recommend Islay House enough for its wonderful ambiance, excellent facilities, and top-notch service. I highly recommend this hotel for anyone visiting the island.
